We will compose mood music, background music and songs, title songs, and any creative placement of music into your production of any size. We compose and record our orchestrations in synch with your edited scenes, or provide the recordings for your own placement. demo reel Promote yourself, your project, or products and services with a customized musical soundtrack.
school project We will score your film or stage assignment, or provide original song material. We will not do your homework, but we will enhance your project per your production needs.
advertising From jingles to inspirational scores, we will augment your commercial, industrial, or non-profit message with the emotional impact that only music can bring.
home movies We will add original music and songs to your most precious home movies. songs We can write original songs for your stage production, as we did for “The Littlest Star,” a school production with 30 singing children.

scripts (books) We have extensive experience creating and editing scripts for musical plays and reviews, including scripts for school, business, and community stage and video productions. We will use your songs or write new songs for your production.
website content We have written and produced music for websites since 1997. From simple MIDI files to audio-video MP4s for iPods, we can create auto-play or on-demand music to stream from your website.   • Please note:
    • We work in virtually any electronic format, including MP3, MP4, AVI, MOV, QT, MPEG, MIDI, AU, AIFF, WAV, RA, ACC, WMA, and commercial CD.
    • Recorded media may be delivered or received in the form of CR-R, SVHS, floppy disc, web link, or email attachment.
    • We will never knowingly infringe upon existing copyrights, and will research any such possibility.
    • Our consultations can be by email, by telephone, or in person. Our schedule is very flexible, but generally we can arrange to meet Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm Pacific, at any location in the greater Vancouver BC (Canada) area. Meetings are also possible at our recording studio in Trumbull, CT (USA), by appointment only.


    Our rates, calculated in Canadian Dollars, are flexible and each project is considered on an individual basis.

    We offer a free consultation and estimate, and charge $25 for the first hour or any part thereof. The rate may decrease incrementally based on the size and nature of the project. New clients are asked to pay 50% of the estimate in advance, the balance upon delivery. Flat fees and flexible payment terms are available with well-defined project schedules.

    Tom DeStefano has been composing and recording songs and scores for over 30 years. An accomplished pianist with a state of the art computerized recording studio and stable of vocal talent, Tom is able to create music in any style, on any scale. Tom has written and recorded hundreds of songs, composed many musical plays and reviews, and scored the soundtracks for independent films like "Trees," "The Root of All Evil," and "Silent."

    Jim Lawter is a published author of stage plays, movie and radio scripts, books, articles, essays, songs, web content, and countless short fiction and non-fiction pieces. Jim and Tom have been songwriting partners since 1988, creating dozens of stage shows, scores of songs, and soundtracks for independent films.
